ACQUISITIONS
Leading roles at ROK Development and major London West End real estate firms have given Nick a great track record in acquiring commercial and other property, often off-market and often representing a ‘first’ in a particular market sector or location. Recent examples here - others here: Portfolio
High Wycombe: Avercet Property
The owner of Newclose County Cricket Ground, Seaview Hotel and other Island assets owns a mixed investment portfolio across the UK including this tired industrial property on 3 acres close to the A40. Nick introduced the owner to developer client Avercet Property and secured its purchase, after a competitive tender.
Weymouth: London Metric Property + New Look
Nick agreed to buy 12 acres of surplus land adjoining New Look’s UK HQ, whilst at ROK Development, before the ‘credit crunch’. 10 years later he has acted for London Metric Property in their purchase of the site, after a competitive tender and 3 years of consultancy and marketing advice. The proposals include retail + employment uses.
Winchester: Somerston Holdings
Nick acts for Somerston to source sites suitable for Care use, after working together for years in the hotels sector. He connected them with a landowner which was reviewing its options for a surplus site in Winchester, which they have contracted to buy for a proposed 60 bed care home development, Somerston’s first in the sector.
Weymouth + Newport: McDonalds
Nick is retained by McDonalds to acquire drive thru restaurants in Weymouth and in Newport, on the Island, plus another.
Cowes: London Metric Property + M&S
Nick worked with former colleagues now at Southern Co-ops to deliver this off market acquisition for London Metric Property, in the home of UK yacht racing. With a pre-let in place to Marks & Spencer, it was refurbished and now trades as M&S Foodhall – their first food-only offer on the Island.
Sovereign Housing: the south
Nick is advising Sovereign Housing on a number of key land acquisitions in the south, for affordable housing development.
