IW COUNCIL: Masterplanning NEWPORT Harbour
Callaghan Property is part of the consortium led by award winning Kay Elliott Architects who were selected by IW Council in October 2018, following a competitive tender, to masterplan the redevelopment of Newport Harbour. This 6-9 month process will help shape the future of the Island’s County town, a crucial element in IWC’s regeneration strategy.
BAE Systems + IW Council: Cowes
BAE appointed Nick, with Savills Commercial, to quietly market 40,000 sq ft of vacant grade A offices and a 10,000 sq ft former R&D building, within BAE’s highly sensitive military radar site. He worked closely with IWC Regeneration team on a single letting to IWC of the entire floorspace, for a new call centre delivering 400 jobs immediately, potentially 1,000 in total.
IW Council: Island Technology Park
Nick was brought in by Isle of Wight Council to help manage this freehold acquisition from the HCA (Homes England) including a review of the market, construction and legal aspects, negotiating terms and managing the legal process. The site adjoins GKN and the industry leading Centre of Excellence for Composites and Marine Manufacturing.
HCA (HOMES ENGLAND): Victoria Quays, E Cowes
The Homes & Communities Agency appointed Nick, with CBRE, to jointly manage disposals of 103,000 sq ft of vacant office and industrial floorspace at Venture/ Victoria Quays, their flagship regeneration project on East Cowes waterfront. The estate includes the iconic Columbine (“Union Jack”) building originally used for the construction of flying boats.

IW COUNCIL: KINGSTON MARINE PARK
Nick was brought in by Isle of Wight Council to help manage this 8 acre freehold riverside land acquisition from the HCA (Homes England), providing development consultancy, due diligence and marketing advice, working closely with the Regeneration team to help deliver up to 200,000 sq ft of employment uses over this and Island Technology Park.
NHS (Wight Life Partnership): Newport
Nick has been providing investment and development strategy advice to Wight Life Partnership, an NHS joint venture looking at ways to release investment value from their wider estate into the core clinical estate.
